Vacation at the Shatterspear Village
After all dat's happened, I needed a break. I needed a place to relax. I had heard of a a hidden troll village high up near Mount Hyjal. De way dere was hard to find, but eventually I followed a river. It had carved a small canyon on top of de mountain ranges dat lead straight into de village.
Of course, I was not invited dere. So first I had to talk to de elders and ask dem whether I could stay.
Jory Zaga was a bit suspicious, but Krah'ranik said dat I was welcome.
So, first I went sightseein'. De big double waterfall was de biggest sight here. Getting down from dere was not easy.
One interestin' ting about dis village was dat dere were no idols of de Loa anywere. But I found sometin' better.
I tink de statue on de background is of a Titan. He has a ruby as his left eye. De Shatterspears have been isolated here for a long time, so maybe dey did see a Titan. Which one, I dunna know. Whoever it is, dis meetin' must have happened a very long time ago. Before de Portal. Before de War of de Shiftin' Sands. Even before de Sunderin'.
I tried askin' about it..
..but of course, de ones livin' here now were born after de meetin', so dey dunna have any first-hand knowledge.
Finally, I found a clue. One of dem said dat dey have stone tablets of ancient knowledge.
I found de tablets, but dey were written in an ancient language. Most of de Shatterspears dunna know how to read dem either, but dey know dat dey are important, so dey are well guarded.
I would have to find a translator who knows a lot of titans. But de dwarves probably dunna wanna cooperate. So I was plannin' to leave..
..but den I remembered why de Shatterspears were isolated.
Oh well. At least dey have a nice lake full of fish, so I guess I could stay for a while.
But den I found one more reason why dey were called Dark Trolls. Wen de night became darker, de village burst into life. It was time to party.
De beat was simple, deep and catchy. De drummers all worked on different drums, but dey weaved deir beats seamlessly together. I just could not stop dancin'.
De darker de night got, de more furious became de beat. More and more trolls joined in.
And de night grew even darker. And de dancin' became better. Dis is wat it is to be a troll. We have been here since de dawn of time. But one ting has always remained de same.
Dis village is indeed perfect. But all good tings must come to an end. We danced and danced and danced. But I was gettin' tired and so I just enjoyed de moment of peace dis village has given me.
I was plannin' on goin' to sleep at de local inn, but..
..a troll called Voriya invited me to stay with her for de night.
